Activities/Attractions: The property offers a fabulous, 180 degree view of Maui's North Shore. Check out the windsurfing action from the deck, it's only about 2 miles away. Sunsets from the deck are breathtaking. Ho'okipa, a great surfing and windsurfing beach is only 5 minutes away. Pa'ia and Baldwin are two beautiful all around beaches, and only 10 minutes away.
Pa'ia was a former plantation town when sugar was king on Maui and then became largely forgotten until the 1980's, when the windsurfing craze brought thousands of the world's best windsurfers to nearby Ho'okipa Beach, known as the "windsurfing capital of the world." Since then the town has become the center of activity on the North Shore.
The buildings still look much like they did at the turn of the 20th century, but new businesses have arrived in the form of art galleries, craft and curio shops, a great bakery, over fifteen restaurants.
A short 2 minute drive will take you to a small local shopping center with a post office, an upscale coffee shop, 2 restaurants, several take-out places, 2 small grocery stores, a hardware and a video store. Closest towns are Paia and Makawao, both about a 10 minute drive. Guests will need to rent a car to get around as there is no public transportation. There are plenty of golf courses in the area.
General Information: Welcome to our North Shore Maui Vacation Rental in Hawaii ... a 2 Bedroom, 1 Loft House (2,800 sq. ft., 260 sq. m.). Our non-smoking holiday accommodation includes:
