Activities/Attractions: Trapani is a city and commune on the west coast of Sicily, Italy and is the capital of the Province of Trapani. Founded by Elymians, the city is still an important fishing port and the main gateway to the nearby Egadi Islands.

Trapani is the perfect port, and fishing village, being set on a low peninsula stretching in an arc into the sea, the housing of the city melting into plains of salt pans, valuable to the regions economy. Beyond, the solitary plains dotted with windmills dating from the medieval era, lies the open sea stretching to the horizon, punctuated only by the beautiful peak of mount Erice and the Egadi Islands.

Apart from its ancient trade in tuna, fishing, and salt, Trapani also deals in olives and wine, and in recent years has begun to flourish. At present, the province of Trapani produces more wine than Austria, Chile, Hungary, or the region of Tuscany. Evening and daily activity suggestions are:

• You may drive towards Castellammare Del Golfo and go for a nice walk towards the Lungo Mare, La Marina, Piazza Petrolo
  
• You can easily eat out in one of the many restaurants, where you can enjoy the rich flavorful traditional Sicilian dishes, accompanied by only the best wines, which blend tradition, culture and excellence
  
• You can visit the local shop or sit outside a local café and enjoy watching people taste the Sicilian cannoli or pastries
  
• You can also attend the musical concert at the municipal arena and the public park
  
• In the morning you can sit on the veranda having your breakfast and coffee and look at the clear blue skies touching the emerald blue sea at the horizon
  
• Along with Mountains and Gulf, you can see Capo San Vito of Castellammare Del Golfo, the extreme point of North Sicily
  
• You have the choice to go to the golden sandy beach within a short walk

"The villa is perfect travelling with a group of 11 persons as we did. Clean and well equipped. Located in the hillside above the sea with a fantastic view of the sea. Walking distance to the centre of Castellammare and with a nearby supermarket and a butcher. Paola arranged a van waiting for us at the airport which was quite comfortable. We have already recommended the villa to friends."

General Information: Welcome to Villa del Golfo in Castellammare del Golfo, Trapani, Sicily, Italy ... offering you the convenience of being within walking distance of the historic center of town and at the some time offering gorgeous view of the Enchanting Gulf Of Castellammare. The two Apartments are independent from one another with private entrances, however both can be connected as a single unit from one inside stairway. The Villa has outside showers with hot/cold water and is connected to a large garden area.

The Entire villa, can accommodate on its entirety up to 17 persons and can be rented for any special occasions such as: Family Reunions, Birthdays, Anniversaries celebration, Cooking classes, fine Sicilian Wines Tasting or as a place of relaxation and fun. Our accommodations are a perfect and safe setting for children too as they can play in the spacious garden and enjoy outdoor games.

"We had a great time at Castellammare del Golfo. We really enjoyed the place. The kids loved the beaches. My wife, never got tired of watching the ocean from the terrace by our bedroom. And the house was a great base for further adventure trips in the area. Paola, the hostess, made us feel very welcome with a Norwegian flag in the living room plus a delicious warm meal waiting for our arrival. She was very helpful through our stay. All in all, 9 days in Castellammare del Golfo was way too little. We will definitely be back another year."
