Activities/Attractions: San Martín de Los Andes is a charming mountain town of 35,000 nestled on the tip of Lago Lácar between high peaks. The town is considered the tourism capital of the Neuquen province, a claim that's hard to negate, considering the copious arts-and-crafts shops, gear-rental shops, restaurants, and hotels that constitute much of downtown.
The beauty of its landscapes, the peace and tranquility that its great green extensions offer, make the visit to this place, which let you enjoy the charm of the snow in winter and the adventure tourism in summer in an imposing contact with nature, impossible to miss. The town is quieter than Bariloche and decidedly more picturesque, thanks to its timber-heavy architecture and Swiss Alpine influence.
In winter the city gets covered by snow. This is an ideal frame for the practice of ski in the neighbouring winter centre of Chapelco.
In summer, the activities are mostly carried out in contact with nature, within the Lanín National Park, where you will find several possibilities: sporting fishing of salmonids , trekking, rafting, mountaineering, photographic safaris, excursions in 4 x 4, etc. and some come just to relax.
The tourism infrastructure here is excellent, with every lodging option imaginable and plenty of great restaurants.
We personally design, plant, seed and care with love our wonderful, award winning garden, where you can find native species and others adapted to this region - guests are free to enjoy this colourful place.

General Information: Welcome to Las Rosas Cabins in Patagonia, Argentina ... located in one of the best places in the world - San Martín de Los Andes - in one of the best residential areas of the city, with some of the best accommodations available. We are steps from Lacar Lake, with lake and wonderful surroundings views, 5 minutes walk to downtown and just meters from 7 Lakes and Cerro Chapelco Road.
Run with the warmth by its owners Nora and Daniel, we offer excellent design, distribution, luminosity and decoration with good taste. Amenities include: Daily maid service, cleaning, dish washing, change of sheets and towels according to Environmental Good Practices Program for Hotels, to which we adhere. Telephone in the cabin with free local calls (for services and meals delivery). NDD, IDD and Fax in administration office, Internet full time with PC in private office and WiFi connectivity from cabin. Open air individual “parrillas” for barbecues. Parking on the premises. Advise on trips and activities you could do in our region. Optionals: Breakfast, Baby sitter, airport and Chapelco ski center transfers.
