Activities/Attractions: Oahu is called the "Gathering Place" and is home of Waikiki, Diamond Head and Pearl Harbor. The windward side retains the subtle feeling of old Hawaii, a Hawaii before the multi-story hotels and condos of Waikiki and the urban traffic, hustle and bustle of Honolulu. It still has that wonderful sense of "Aloha" that you are welcomed and a friend.

Punalu'u is about 30 miles from Waikiki and the Honolulu International Airport. The condo sits on a private, reef-protected beach, which is great for kids. The water is about waist to chest deep along the beach and is excellent for snorkeling. There is also a fresh water swimming pool, outdoor shower, exercise room and sauna.

From the lanai you have a full palm-dotted view of ocean and mountains. The condo is only five miles from the number one tourist attraction on Oahu - the Polynesian Cultural Center - and a short 15-minute drive to the winter surfing competition at the "Banzai Pipeline" and "Sunset Beach." You are 45-minutes from the nightlife of Waikiki or snorkeling at Hunauma Bay.

"I liked our stay there. It is far from the hustle and bustle of Honolulu and is close to the North Shore. The beach in front of the condo is private and there are only a few people there every time we took a swim or just vegged out on the beach. It is nice to be in touch with the "Old Hawaii". What's even nicer is the small church (St. Joachim's) near the building. We just walked to hear mass and they welcomed us there with leis after they learned that we are from California. I would go back if I can."

Pat's at Punalu'u is just 5 minutes from the Polynesian Cultural Center and is the only beachfront condominium on the windward side of Oahu. Other nearby attractions include: Sunset beach, Pipeline, Waimea Falls Park, Waimea Bay, Crouching Lion Kahana Bay, Kualoa Ranch and  Laie Temple.

"My husband and I had a wonderful time staying in a rented condo at Pat's at Punalu'u on Oahu. The accommodations inside the condo we rented were more than fine for the 2 of us and it was nicer than I expected for the price. This is a great place for the price and the views can't be beat. We even were able to watch the migration of the Humpback whales from the balcony of our condo. The location is great, as it is away from the hustle and bustle of the city and there are many lovely places in the surrounding areas."
