Activities/Attractions: The county of Suffolk lies in the East of England and covers some 1500 square miles. Ipswich, the county town is home to The Ipswich Transport Museum which boasts the largest collection of transport items in Britain devoted to just one town. Close to the centre of Ipswich you will find 'Christchurch Mansion' an outstanding 16th century Manor house set in an historic 100 acre park, which first opened as a free museum in 1896.

Suffolk's other main towns include Felixstowe, a pretty seaside resort, Lowestoft, a popular holiday destination and the most easterly town in the United Kingdom and Newmarket, famous for its Race Meetings.

Cockfield lies 7 miles from the historic market town of Bury St. Edmunds, famous for its Abbey Ruins and gardens. Tour the Greene King Brewery, take in a performance at the Theatre Royal or just enjoy the thriving market, set in the town centre. Cockfield has 2 pubs with evening menus and is well serviced with eating places in the surrounding villages.

Lavenham, just 4 miles away, has been described as one of the finest medieval villages in England with its historic buildings and streets. Tudor townhouses mingle with small crooked cottages. The splendid 16^th century Guildhall of Corpus Christi (National Trust) dominates the Market Place. Close by you'll find:
