Telephone/Fax: +39 041 5150083 Activities/Attractions: You will be staying just a stone’s throw from Riviera del Brenta, a unique blend of history, culture, art, and scenery which wends its way from Padua to the Venice lagoon. The Riviera became a popular resort for 17th and 18th century Venetians, who vied to build the most lavish and ornate homes along its banks. Over one hundred stately homes and elegant summer villas still adorn the riverbank and the surrounding countryside, their outlines rising along the meandering course of the river against the silhouettes of the fields. Our house is about 400 metres from the Church of Prozzolo in Via Don Bosco. The first part of the street is tarmac, while the last stretch is a sandy road that passes through maize and soya fields. The 1400 m2 garden is home to many types of fruit trees - apricot, apple, pear, almond, pomegranate, fig, peach, plum, and walnut - and herbs, such as lavender and rosemary. An endless string of traditional and cultural events are held from January to December against this vast backdrop of villas, parks, and the river.
... are just some of the countless options available. Riviera del Brenta is in an excellent position, an ideal base for excursions to the surrounding area. |

General Information: B&B il Tulipano is situated in the province of Venice in the village Camponogara-Prozzolo, 27 km from Venice and 22 km from Padua. You can catch a train to Venice from a railway station that is 1.5 km from our house. We have called our Bed & Breakfast "Il Tulipano" (The Tulip) after this simple, yet beautiful flower with a multitude of brightly coloured petals. This gives us quite a lot to live up to, also because a tulip radiates energy and joy. Moreover, it is a symbol of our ties with Holland. While we were renovating the house, we sought to maintain its original simplicity and rustic feel. A glass archway, which we added ourselves, leads to the breakfast room, once a room for the stable-hands who would tend to the animals in the stall. On the other side of the breakfast room are the stairs to the first floor. Originally a hayloft, the upstairs area now contains the cosy guest rooms and bathrooms.
